Boxlite
Flashtube for Broncolor Boxlite heads
For more than 60 years, Broncolor produced studio flash gear for the biggest photo studios worldwide.
One of the features of Broncolor gear is that most of the flash heads can be plugged on the generator, whatever the generation – provided the maximum energy output is not bypassed.
From Pulso heads (back in 1988) till the most recent Pulso G heads, most of Broncolor flash heads for 1600 Ws and 3200Ws generators use the same flashlamp, built of a circular open flashtube mounted on a ceramic socket, with 3 metal pins.
More precisely, the same flashtubes can be plugged in:
– Pulso heads,
– Unilite heads,
– Flashman heads, and
– Hazy heads.
Of course, flashtubes must be rated to fit the maximum energy output of the generator (i.e. 1600 Ws or 3200 Ws).
However, the latest Broncolor generators Scoro can trigger fast sequences of high energy flashes. Flashtubes used at these high rates must hence be more robust than the ones that could be used on former generators. Thus, we designed a specific more robust flashtube specially for flash heads supplied by Scoro packs.
Phoxene aims at offering the highest standards of quality and our items are at least as good as original ones. Our flashtubes for Broncolor Pulso heads are made of Quartz, for the longest expected lifespan possible. All Phoxene flashtubes are tested before being sent to our customers.
